Rest In Peace, Pow Pow (grandpa)

Lost my grandpa today. He was hero, he grew up with absolutely nothing and passed away today after leading a life that most people will never come close to. He taught me more than you could imagine. I attribute so much to him, especially my sarcasm and sense of humor. He was one badass awesome dude. I went to breakfast with him a few months ago, and when he didnt finish his french toast, he tried to sell it back to the waitress for $5. Fucking awesome. He will be missed more than you could ever know. Love you, Pow Pow

Look at this guy, what a badass.

thanks everyone. It really is bitter-sweet, his health was really deteriorating for a couple months to the point of him being confined to his recliner or bed, and seeing him like that was the worst. He spent 20 years on the sidelines of football fields and was so full of life/always so active. I know he is no longer suffering/in a better place. But I still will miss him like hell.

Ron Erhadt is an NFL legend, I grew up with the Grogan led Patriots in the 80's and Ron was instrumental in the evolution of the passing game in the NFL. He won two superbowls as the offensive coordinator with Bill Parcells and the Gants. In fact elements of Ron's offensive system (developed with Ray Perkins) were the basis for the modern Patriots system under Belichick and many other pro teams. He was beloved by the Patriots players in the 80's, and when the idiot ownership fired him they said he was "too nice".
Joe G., condolences, your grandfather was a great football mind and by all accounts an even better person. RIP.

                      Joe, I am so sorry.

Grandpas are an amazing thing, I know mine has been to me. I am so thankful to still have him with me but I know his day will come and that's definitely something I fear. I've even got a tattoo on my arm of a crescent wrench with PAPAW (grandpa) written in it.

My grandpa on my mom's side died 2 months before I (his first grandchild) was born. He was only 58 years old.
