NYC Public Transit: LGA to Manhattan??

    New Yorkers chime in please!
I'm flying into LaGuardia airport on Wednesday. I need to get from the airport to Broadway in Manahattan. What is the best and easiest way to get there?

    This helped a little: http://gonyc.about.com/cs/airlinesai.../getto_lga.htm
But I need some NYC public transit expertise from someone.
    Thanks!

You can take the Q33 or Q47 to the train station. I recommend taking that to Roosevelt Ave and then hopping on the F train. Take that down to 34th st, transfer to the N or R and get off on 8th St.

Let me know if that makes sense. OR you could just cab it, will cost like 50 or so.

.....how bout you just come pick me up?:D (and i buy you dinner, and pay you $$)
That's more complex than i thought it would be. I will check it out on a map.
How about M60 bus to train somewhere?
It also might be possible for me to be picked up by someone at Grand Central, but i'm not sure.

Just cab it, that place is on an island and its a PITA to try and public it. Youre gonna waste a shit-ton of time.

If you wanna save some money and arent in a hurry (which would have to be the case if you were thinking of transferring buses) share a cab. Right outside of the baggage claims they have cab stands and when flights let off it gets a decent line. Just see if someone is going near where you are and see if they want to share a cab. Someone has to be going downtown.
        Im now E30less.

BMW M60 Bus to the Q train towards Coney Island to get off at 18th street, take the R train towards Bay Ridge and get off at 8th street.

you know what? Take a cab to manhatten. Once you are there take a subway. Dont take subways from brooklyn just get out of there.

share it with other people wont be so expensive. It will still be ridiculously expensive though lol world record expensive.

Almost everything on that little island is very expensive.

If you're trying to save money but you don't want to spend all day on public transportation, just take a cab to the nearest "E" train station. There should be one on Roosevelt Ave. near Elmhurst Hospital.

Take the "E" train towards the World Trade Center. That will take you right to the NYU campus. Get off at the West 4th Street stop and walk across Washington Square Park to Broadway.

                    lots of options here.

M60 to Astoria then hop on the Q train to union square then get on N train?

Yes, take the M60 bus. Get off at Hoyt Ave and 31st St stop in Astoria. Walk up to the subway station. Take either Q or N train towards Coney Island. Get off around the 49th St stop depending on where you specifically need to be.

This will cost you < $5 and take about an hour. Make sure you have $2.25 in quarters for the M60 in case your arriving terminal doesn't have a MetroCard station. You can buy a MetroCard once you're at the subway station.
