Well, my girlfriend of 2.5 years currently lives 8 hours away. By airplane. Long distance sucks, but it can work. Depends on what it is worth to you. Some people can do it and some can't. One isn't any better than the other; that's just kinda the way it is.

well, if you're living together you'll be common law married soon enough.

Georgia doesn't recognize "common law" and if it did it would probably be like Kansas. People act like its "you live together and the state just deems you married against your will." Its actually where you have to basically live as if you were married for long enough and then the state will accept the fact. Put in place so rednecks could have some backwoods ceremony without having to go into town and pay a judge and get a license.
