anyone here own scott s40 2012??? if so is it a good entry level?? i really want a 10 speed shimono 105 but is too dang expensive.

It's cheaper to buy the higher end model than if you think you'll want to upgrade down the line. That looks to have SORA shifters? They're pretty entry level but they'll work, 105 is going to be noticeably better though.

It's better than the entry level bike I rode for a few years and it did me just fine. What's retail on that?

Also, do not buy any lower than 105. You will regret it especially if you are planning on cycling more than 2 miles a day.

I bought a Ultegra Motobecane that was 2x10 with a great setup for a fraction of price. I then transfered it all to my Team Specialized 7005 frame I had that was bare. Sold the Motobecane frame and profited of of it.

My suggestion look for a leftover and get better components.
