perhaps, as an admin, you could just make a birthday sticky. then grahamsy could get his 15 minutes of fame and be able to post whore to his heart's desire.

Seriously though, if you want to wish someone happy bday pm them. You dont see me making threads telling brandondan to have a nice saturday do you? What is this facebook? Hmm...maybe ill start this trend... Besides there's also 'visitor messages' fields on your public profiles, say it there.

Oh no... One new thread a day in the off topic lounge. If even that, cause some days there aren't any birthdays. So really people, get your panties untwisted. It's not like he is making single threads for each individual person.

I see no harm in it. I see people fo it on other forums and they make a thread per person. That's kind of going overboard.

But typically the people that get their own threads are the people that are known, frequent posters; not members nobody knows that never post or are unlikely to even see their birthday thread..

No, it's not a big deal, just kind of silly IMO

Every company I've ever worked for made it a point to announce birthdays.

Its a friendly gesture. That, and its the off topic forum...

Happy birthday, birthday ppl! Enjoy the one day when everyone has to kiss your ass for no reason other than being born!
