    Portland/Eugene/Corvalis

So my wife and I will be visiting Eugene OR this June/July to watch my brother try out for the Mens 1500m for the US Olympic team. He is going to be running up to 3 days (pending he makes it through qualifying etc) and we will be in the area for a week. We are planning a day trip up to Seattle but other than that and watching him run like a madman, we're not sure what else there is to do. We like outdoors stuff (I'd like to do some mountain biking BUT I'm not sure my wifes bike handling skills are up to that), museums, breweries etc

    Any suggestions gents?

Spencer's Butte is a good, simple hike. It's the highest point in Eugene and you can see the whole city. A better one in the vicinity is Bryce Creek. The trail runs along the creek for a couple miles and there's a good series of waterfalls. Also, the road to the trailhead is reeeeeaaaaal twisty :)

Multnomah Falls is a must if you're gonna be spending some time in the Portland area. Super tall waterfall and you can get right up to the edge of the falls if you hop off the path.
