Everyone should watch this video and see the real message. It's not about how poor the thing was put together but about things that happen in real life. Getting into a car crash is something but breaking someones family because of stupidity is another.

i get a mixed message here. A fair amount of those situations were a matter of circumstance, which could happen weather you were driving in a unsafe manner or following all the rules. I would think a fair amount of us as enthusiast pride our self's in being aware of the situation when we drive. that's not to discount just plain dumb driving, which is what a lot of people associate driving enthusiast with. But to be 100% fair im going to guess the majority of car accidents happen with people driving normally, just not paying attention. Driving is a risk regardless of how you drive. Its a 2-3k lbs death mobile moving at high speeds. It should be treated similar to flying, keep your head on a swivel and pay attention!sigpicComment

You need to take her on a driver training course. Right now, she would get mad at you because she doesn't understand that she's doing something wrong. She doesn't understand stopping distances - mind you, that's not her fault, it's just the way the system works. Poor education and a general attitude of "driving is a right" is how we end up like this. By doing a driving course, she'll actually be able to see first hand how much room she needs to stop and just how quickly things can go wrong. After the first few times that she drives head on into the boxes/foam/whatever they're using, she'll start to get it!
As for the video, it's chilling stuff. I'm not bothered by the mix of different styles at all, because I believe it's meant to demonstrate just how badly things can go wrong. For example, the police chase videos don't really apply in a normal driving situation, but they still show the devastating impact of a car accident. Keep in mind guys, this video wasn't made for us (enthusiasts), it's for people who take driving for granted, who aren't aware of just how dangerous and savage it can be. However, we should all still be able to take something away from this.
