Just heard a guy on a bike doing what sounded like over 80 a block away from my house. I looked out the window and saw 2 cops go by about 10 and 20 seconds later doing what looked like about 70 or 80 mph. The road is a residential 25 mph zone and goes straight through the campus of EMU. Anyway I heard the bike change direction and go off onto the country roads, where he probably got away. All this got me thinking, there have to be some pretty good cop stories on r3v, so let's hear some!

I have had many encounters with the police. Too many to count or recall. I deserved what I got every time. Mostly, my encounters have been good. I realized a long time ago that police are just as human as I am. They have their good days and their bad days. To say they are bad people for the most part is to judge myself only on my worst day. And that's not fair.Yours truly,
Rich

Pulled over at least 20 times in the ~6 months drove my car, only got a ticket for my exhaust, and a speeding ticket which was thrown out after I was proved innocent. All the cops have loved me except for the one which gave me the exhaust ticket, he was a dick. I actually got stuck leaving the parking lot a I chose to pull into one time. Guy ended up pushing me out

This. In most situations, just being decent and cooperative can save your butt. Plus you just should be anyway. The only reason I said he was acting dickish is because I was being completely cooperative, referring to him as "sir" the whole time, explained what was going on... And he still got pissed at me. But what can ya do? Just keep on being polite haha.Comment

51 in a 25 school zone. Wasn't actually trying to do it, I was just going with the flow of traffic and he caught me out of the cars I was with. The cop was actually pretty nice to me. Was gonna cost me 700 but it got knocked down to 550. I definitely learned from that experience.Comment

A few saturdays ago, I met my GF at a bar to see my friends band, had 2 beers with food, and left long after drinking them, sat in her truck for about an hr talking about how shes moving away, and then drove like an asshole on the way home because I was a bit pissed about her moving...
Anyway, I was going down a dark back road moving pretty quick (I NEVER see cops on this road BTW) and I pass two cruisers. The second one whips around right away and flips his lights on. I pull over
He read me the riot act, I explained that I am an ass, but I dont speed in the daytime when there might be joggers/kids etc..
he said what about deer?, said I was doing about 70mph (i think i was faster actually)
he said he smelled alcohol on my breath and i had bloodshot eyes (? impossible)
made me get out, talked to me for about 15 min, asked me to lock my car, gave me no ticket, and drove me home.
holy crap was i lucky that nightComment

I got pulled over for 69 in a 55 and written up without even being asked where I was going or anything. The other time I rolled through a stop at about 8-10 mph sign and turned right. Dude said I didn't even attempt to slow down. Never gotten off with a warning... I guess cops just don't like teenagersWhat it feels like owning an e30:
