My PS3 is in Cahoots with the Fuzz

Anyone else have this problem? I'll randomly be playing something or watching Netflix and for a few brief seconds, I'll hear a police scanner over my speakers. This only happens when I'm using my PS3.

Any insight on why this is happening..? Maybe I can find a way to hook up my PS3 to my DME and troll the PoPo:5-0?

What have you tried so far?

Only problem ive had with my ps3 is the yellow light of death. Ive fixed it many times, but i think its time to retire this 1st gen ps3...its to much of a hassle to fix it.

But maybe plugging your ps3 into a different input could fix it, if you have another one.
Maybe even try a different tv. This will just eliminate the different variables. If it still does it after swtching inputs or tv, then you will know its your ps3. And if it stops, then obviously its your tv.

This has happened to the TV in the family room. Except, the audio doesn't go fuzzy, it just gets lower and you can distinctly hear the police for a few seconds

But it's not just me that has heard it upstairs as well. Both my father and my little brother have come in contact with the cops while they were using the PS3.

I've had this happen a lot, like a police scanner come on while I was taking orders at a drive through with people in the car that heard it too so I know it wasn't just me.. So possibly, it could just be that this always happens to all electronics...?

i have an older "technics" stereo receiver that picks up cb radio transmissions occasionally. scared the shit out of me the first time i heard it! i was sitting in my living room watching a movie, and all of a sudden from the other room i hear voices. i get up, and peek in the room, its empty of course. then i hear more voices, and i realize its coming from my floor speakers. i look at the stereo, and the receiver is not even on, but it is broadcasting anyway. only when i unplugged it did it stop transmitting.

a guy down the street has a taxi service, and occasionally i'll hear him dispatching cars.
