I'm not sure about curb hopping, but most of the rest of that 'test drive' detailed before sounds like any other day for my Smart. Just got back from a trip to LA yesterday that averaged 80mph at about 42mpg according to the ScanGaugeII. You can't do that without some bobbing and weaving in traffic. Gets much better mileage on the highway than my e30 does. :PSOMEBODY messed with my sig so now you get this one:
