I'm sure there's others on here that hate the new gmail look which is really harsh on the eyes in my opinion. A few days ago Google removed the option to revert back to the old look temporarily and forced everyone to adopt their new look.
Here's how to get the old look back (at least for now). Just tried it and it works.
steps:
1.- drag the button in "http://qwerjk.com/revert-gmail" to your favourites or markers bar
2.- go to your gmail tab and click F5. Go to the main screen
3.- now click on the favorites link that you created earlier
4.- go to the settings button on gmail and click on "revert to the old look" which should have reappeared as an option.
