Is this the early 90s one with the m50? I saw that on CL and thought about going to look at it at least. It looked to be in pretty good shape from the pictures

never seen one on the street but i don't pay much attention to them anyway. the demographic for the x series are prestige-seekers.

i have passed several plain x5's. though. usually driven by trophy wives.

so my answer is- self-absorbed sheep

I recount some of my previous statement to clarify. The older more mature crowd of BMWs (usually new 5/7-Series) are much more tame. Anyone who drives anything else is leaning on the prick side.

That doesn't dispute the fact all Merc and arrange Rover drivers are pricks. I see them crossing over multiple lanes without signaling and cutting people off all day way more than I see the newest enrty/premium class luxury BMW drivers

I can drive like a prick a lot of times, just not intentionally. I drive over a real twisty country hill every day and people in front of me just drive a loooooot slower than I'm used to and I end up tailgating them. I definitely tailgate the shit out of ricer on purpose, though. Just because I know it pisses them off.

Seriously. Most classic euro car owners are enthusiasts. Most new euro car owners are the "This shows how rich I am and how much I control the road" type.

One time I casually wondered out loud if the seats in my friend's facelift e46 were leather or leatherette and she said "It's a BMW...they're definitely leather." They were definitely leatherette.

you kinda have to drive like 'what seems like a prick' where I live.
everyone and their mom can't drive, so defensive driving comes off as being douschey:roll:
