I'm enjoying the supermoon right now.

Supermoon last night was pretty cool, we had 100% clear skies. It was crazy bright, pulled out the telescope for a bit of a gaze before it got too high in the sky (my tele's busted). I'm hoping to catch it rising today to get the whole against the Horizon effect.

Stuck my phone up to my crappy tele.

I just ordered a super dark neutral density filter for the camera. I should be able to get a near total eclipse here. I might head north a little if the USS Iowa ends up not leaving for Long Beach that day. Seriously, how cool would it be to catch the last battleship passing under the Golden Gate bridge during a total solar eclipse? To be honest, I'm really hoping they won't leave on the 20th so I can head up to Mt Lassen or somewhere up north to shoot the eclipse.
