Im going to toy r us after work, then target to finish off my mopar, gm, and ford collections. I really want the orange 2002 and datsun 510s. I think theres three colors for the 510s.
Once I get a good amount Ill show it off LOL.
I've only seen the blue one. It's a dope little looking car btw.
I used to have one if these when I was a kid. Haven't ever been able to find another one, its hot wheels 9726.
Poorly executed e30 m3 vert, let the Vlad references fly :)
Sorry the pics suck, was the best I could find via google
Those are awesome can you show us the process? Since you have too much free time haha.
Could, but need to buy another one to do. But ill just write how I did it.
Take Dermal and grind down the studs that hold the body to the chassis.
Take and remove body from chassis, will come off with your hands.
Paint removal, I sandblasted mine. But paint stripper should work.
After its stripped, clean body and prime with your choice of primer. I used the cheap stuff from Kmart.
Let dry and paint what ever color you want.
After that dried, you can clear it if the paint didn't dry glossy. I use Testors clear coat.
Once that is dry, I take Bare Metal chrome foil and put it over the parts I want chrome. Trim it off with a sharp hobby knife. For the windshield trim I used a black sharpie.
The black in the grills I take and paint it with a toothpick and model car paint. I do tje same for the taillights and detail in the airdam.
The interior you can paint if you want.
And once done, reassemble and put some glue on the studs that got ground down so it can stay connected to the chassis.
apparently there are some errors made with the yellow 2002's where they put the window piece in backwards and it looks like the back window is rolled down... interesting.
