the driver was a friend of mine, said to be drunk and a few people say he was drinking cough syrup but im not sure if he was.

Sorry to break it to ya man, but nobodies gunna get killed driving while stoned. Granted I wouldn't suggest for the first time you ever get high to drive. I remember the first time I smoked and even the second time it was like I was on some intense acid or something. But anyone who's ever smoked even a couple of times isn't anymore dangerous than a 65+ senior citizen.
