    neone use PODS to move?

Just curious if anyone has experience with this company? Looks like a pretty easy way to move your stuff.

how much stuff you have too move ???

We have always used ABF and their 26 foot semi wagons to move with. ABF offers a similar size and format as PODs as well, that I think is some what cheaper as well

My in-laws used PODS. Pack your stuff VERY well and make sure everything is tight in the container. When they opened theirs it looked like someone had thrown it down a hill, and they packed it fairly well.

Be cautious of them dropping it at hubs and having another truck carry it on different legs... you might get your shit lost, or at least stuck somewhere random for a couple days. ABF probably less likely for that to happen, Pods a little more than ABF, and even considering the higher risk you might price SmartMove which just shoves them on semis with other LTL shipments and uses Atlas Moving's warehouses. See how much stuff you have, how much you care about it / how expensive it is, and how much you are willing to pay (or will be comp'ed for if company is paying for it)

I'd personally avoid Uhaul's U-Box at all costs though.

Everyone is pretty much on it. If you only have enough stuff for one container, use ABF. They are slightly cheaper. However, with both companies, I have gotten my containers looking like someone threw them with the crane. I always pack everything tightly and strap it in when possible. They aren't nice to those containers at all most of them just don't give a shit. ANd FWIW if you call PODS about broken stuff, they usually try their damnedest to blame poor packing. I made them pay once, and someone had actually dropped the container hard enough in transit to warp the walls of it.

            note from personal experience

Go to the store and get a few lengths of cloths line ROPE and use that to tie things in to the tie offs and the holes in the rails on the walls for the adjustable anchors. Tie shit in tight and pack it very tight all the way to the roof. Our stuff always looks shaken up, but it has never moved enough to break anything

Instead of PODS I have used http://www.berthill.com/portable-storage/ the containers are stronger and have better seals. Cheaper too. I contacted PODS and they were too much cash.

Not to move, but my friend's family used them to store shit in during a remodel of their home. They didn't move from his driveway so I have no input on actually moving them from one destination to another. But they seemed reasonably priced, easy delivery, easy pick up.

If you were to use it to move I would make sure things are packed very well, and use ratchet straps on everything.
