I'm writing this now from my new Dell XPS 410 with GeForce 8800GT video card, 600 gig hard drive, and dual 2.8ghz processors. I needed a computer that would play the newer games, I was previously using an old HP Dv6000 notebook. Needless to say, that relic wouldn't even boot D3 without an error.
So, my friend and I took to Craigslist. Our target? A DECENT, not top of the line, gaming tower on the cheap. We found an add offering this computer for 2 complete auto details. Sweet, I sent a message and the rest is history.
I left home at 2pm yesterday, and returned with the tower at 10:00. It was a total drive time of 3 hours, and totally worth it. I'm happy, but most of all my Wife is happy that no cash was needed. Moral? If you haven't checked out the bartering section of Craigslist, you should. You may be surprised.
Please post any similar stories of Craigslist bartering, I'd love to hear them.
