So my tour is just about up here in Oahu, so 5 friends and I decided to take a week long trip to the neighboring island of Kaua'i. We spent 5 days camped out on the mind blowing Na'Pali Coast, then 2 days partying our asses off in a sweet condo. It was a great trip, the Na'Pali Coast is absolutely amazing. This was my second trip out there and hopefully not my last. Enjoy!

I went there when I was 13 for a family vacation. We were there during the rainy season and hiked across a mountain to get to the other side where there was a private cove. I loved that place and hope to go back sometime soon.

I love Hawaii. I was just in Maui a few months ago. Such a beautiful place!

You can see how narrow the trail is here and get an idea of the scale of it, its a looooong way down



They say it's one of the "most dangerous hikes in the world" but its not that bad, I've done a lot worse.

As we finished our hike on the way out, the sun was setting. A fitting end to our time on the coast.

The next day we took a helicopter tour of the island:

That's it. It was an amazing trip, our time on the coast went by quickly. We would wake up each morning out there and make breakfast and coffee and sit in silence taking the place in. Then at night we would eat dinner then all of us would sit there watching the sun go down, and we would stare at the night sky in silence. I already miss it. Hope you guys enjoyed!

I did the same hike last Feb. when I was in Kauai for a week. We actually went back farther in to the jungle and saw the Hanakapiai Falls. It was beautiful. Then my buddy ate it and put chin to stone on a slippery lava rock. We had to quickly hike out of there with his chin all busted and bleeding; 10 stiches later we left the ER. Good times in Kauai!!

Thanks man! :-P Get ready for a big one in a couple of months. I leave Hawaii next week and will start a 25 day road trip up the entire west coast with my old man. California - Oregon - Washington - Idaho - Montana - Wyoming - Utah - Nevada - California.

I'm getting stationed in California but we've been planing this epic trip up the coast. Can't wait!!
