just got fired and feeling good!

so i just got fired, but not really upset, was planning on quitting next week and have another job im interviewing for today so not stressing.

i worked as a valet at lexus, greeting customers type stuff. for those that want to know, i began to greet a customer who was on a call and when she said something i closed the door on her and went about my buissness. yes yes i know my fault, didn't exactly do the best thing.
she complained, and i already had a LONG list of complaints about me.

    such as?
i had someone call few months back saying they will not need a shuttle(we drive customers to work no and then) because i had put them in "fear for their life". her exact words. personally, i took it as a compliment, and the fact that i argued i am a professional driver who can out drive anyone on the dealership didn't help.

got a few speeding camera tickets i refused to pay in the company car.

    few other small things.

needless to say they've been gunning for me for a while!

so i knew i was gonna be canned right when she had left the managers office. he terminated me, i said "well it was fun while it lasted", he looked up, "not for me it wasn't". without hesitation i turned around with, "and who the fuck cares about you!?"

trust i am not using him for a reference.

job interview in a few hrs, after that i'll put in some applications at other dealerships/maintenace places.
i feel this was a push for me, i had been wanting to leave that place for ever and have hated it for even longer. im not a people person, should not be in any sort of hospitallity position.

good talk guys! lets do this again sometime.

    oh and for your time...

You sound like a child, best of luck with that attitude being more than a doorman.

Sounds like a typical story for a dealership lot boy. I saw that sort of thing happen many times (lot boy acts unprofessionally/screws around, gets canned, pretends to not care).

Uh, if you want to work for other people as a driver, you need to think about this. They have been ENORMOUSLY tolerant of you. I would have fired you after no more than the second incident.

It's their liability if you have an incident, and with that history, any half competent lawyer can demonstrate negligence (at least) on their part.

Everything you listed just stacks up how much of a fucking asshat you are. You have one job and that is to attend to the PAYING customers.

I own a construction Co with my father I am my own boss, I answer to honestly no one. I STILL respect the little bathroom fix guys JUST as much as the multi-millionaires that have me put in 30k bathrooms.

Holding yourself to be outgoing and upstanding reflects what type of person YOU are. If someone has to complain about you, that means you're doing next to nothing to make THEIR DAY. Does not matter if they are snotty, rude, stuck up or an asshole. If they are not personally offending you then you have ZERO right to treat them as second class.

I learned something fast at an early age, everyone that is paying you to do work is the BOSS. Learn that and apply it to your job and you will ALWAYS have a happy customer.
