i thought i was recording so i waited like 3o min then went out to check camera and it wasn't recording so i set it up again and only got 20 minutes to record that one. I would have stayed longer but road was kinda busy. camera took a shot one after another for about 20 minutes, but at 20-30 seconds a shot then played at 24fps it ends up being pretty pathetic, i will do this again and make sure i have more time and less traffic

Those were cool. At least now you know what can be done so its motivation to maybe get to a more secluded area and try taking hours of pictures to get a few min vid.

What were the shutter times, iso and f/stops on the pics? What did you use to make it into a video?

Your cam has built in intervalometer? If you are making a video of it, you can just turn off the noise reduction as the random noise will be negligible at these frame rates.

Here was a test I did a couple nights ago, but one hand warmer wasn't enough to keep the lens from fogging as it gets quite humid by the ocean (i don't know how to embed from vimeo)

              ISO5000
              f/2.8
              12mm
              30sec exposure
              5 second increments
              274 frames (about 2 hours 20 mins)

the camera actually processed the video. i think i shot the Manning park video at '15"s f2.8 and 6400 ISO at 14mm
                the hope video i think was '5"s f2.8 at 6400iso at 16-14mm

i used lightroom to bring in the blacks a bit more and to increase 'clarity'. Only some minor level adjustments but I am not an advanced software user by any means. My computer won't even run Photoshop or Premier.
