what do you guys think about Hyundai?

I recently bought a 2012 Kia Forte hatch. I basically bought a new car for the warranty (med school + residency coming up). I looked at the Rio hatch too, but it was too small.

I did a ton of research and I couldn't find anything that could touch the Forte on value. With all the incentives, I paid $16,800 for a decently equipped Forte 5-door.

Honda already cancelled the civic in asia this is the special dumb american model

somewhere between costs more is slower all 4 struts worse gas mileage and worse than average reliability built in canada as opposed to korea with all north american parts and a honda motor....

if you stepped over all those hurdles for honda then I will make fun of you at least.

drove a hyundai Veloster, mazda 2 and 3 and a fiesta,

the veloster felt like SHIT! like its designed for old people who dont know how to shift, the clutch and throttle response are RETARDED! its goes up slow and comes down slow it felt like my friends 98 chevy cavalier

The mazda 2 was just as bad but a $4k less its to be expected, i honestly wouldnt pay more than $5,000 for one but it goes for $16,000 :curse:

then the Mazda 3 skyactive 2.0L came in at $19,500 which is about the same as the velosters. with the 3, the interior is kinda simple and unattractive, funky square buttons and low tech lcd screens, not like nice TV LCD but old school clock lcd. BUT.... the drive was GREAT it has a really sporty feel almost as if it is a 200hp sports cars tamed down to 155hp, clutch was nice and 6 speed manual was great, short throws, no play. the throttle response was that of a much higher end car and it can Roast the shit out of the tires, the salesman was really cool. he was telling me to really get on it lol.

Mazda 3 then? Good choice. Mazda is my favorite asian brand, cars dont feel like complete shit.
