I'm highly upset I got dicked and bought the game for $60.......I got bored and now I just want to play forza 4 or gt5. I can only stand arcadey racing games for so long till I get bored of all the snazzy features. I like sim racing better!Leave a comment:

The graphics aren't as good but they fixed a lot of the lighting issues. Wheels actually look real now.....finally.Leave a comment:

the 1M and the ZR1 seem like the two easiest cars to drift in the game. So much fun!Leave a comment:

Say hello to my 1M drift slut.
I can't say I'm a huge fan of the colors of Horizon...too orangey-yellow for me... Also, the graphics aren't as good as 4 :(

Yeah I worked with Drew quite a bit last year. His job is insanely cool, but it is actually also super tough because a lot of the time he has very little time to do an incredibly detailed photoshoot (>1000 pics), and sometimes we get pictures of stuff that's not really uh, 'approved' by the raceteams. It's still legal of course, as the manufacturers only care that the cars are being reproduced accurately, but a lot of times we're photographing top secret stuff because we're doing it before it's alright for the rest of the world to see it so people in charge of them tend to be super uptight. Not only that, but he has to maintain a relationship with each of the owners and try to convince them to shoot the cars for free / a copy of the game.Hey man do you happen to know Drew Larrigan? He works for Microsoft specifically for Forza. His job is really tough... he travels around taking photos of rare/exotic cars so they can be modeled for the game. I believe he does a little bit of laser work on some of the cars as well.
He didn't go through design. As far as I know, he's a photographer that likes cars, and knew somebody.Leave a comment:

I spent a lot of extra time getting the vendors to make the headlights in both down and up positions, and it was kinda disappointing when the feature was cut for FM4.
AFAIK the game does use FM4's physics engine, but I think it's been modified a bit to help cars turn at lower speeds? That may be the case. I was really skeptical until I played the proof of concept last year, and it was surprisingly good. The game looks amazing now.Leave a comment:
