    Lancia Thema 8.32 for sale...in 1990

On a recent windy day in Chicagoland, this old Chicago Tribune auto section page blew onto my lawn. The Chicago Tribune from Dec 10, 1990 shows a Lancia Thema 8.32 with "Ferrari Engine" for sale!

I heard this model was never imported but I was surprised to see a 3 year old one for sale in 1990. Not cheap either when you compare it to the alternatives at the same dealer. Bargain priced Ferrari-engined car these days I bet.

How in the world has that survived 12 years? Lol. Someone must have been doing a massive car/house cleaning and that escaped.

At that time the car was 5 years old. If you take a look at a base model 525i from 2007 with around 50k miles they go for about 20k. If you adjust the 1990 price to 2012 price based on inflation, 8995 becomes 15,834.85. So yea, stuff was cheaper.

Lancia made some seriously cool shit

I remember my granddad had a red lancia ~10 years ago (I was 10) that looked a lot like a delta but it was only two door and no flares IIRC.. what I remember most of it is all the rally championship this and rally that stickers on the back window xD

really fun car to ride in aswell ^^

Eh...I've had my fair share of driving average Italian cars and they are not that great in my opinion. But to see a 528e for $9k is pretty amusing considering they go for a 10th of the price now.

Might have been .. all I remember is the round headlights, rally stickers, 2 doors and red >.<

but I think it was more of a hatchback model like the Delta :? ..not sure tho'
