that is repairable...depending if you want it perfect it wil cost a lot, my old e30 had similar damage, got it "repaired" for 500 with paint, but the best thing would be to just weld another panel it will be cheaper than to repair it

Peugeot 505s are great cars. My family had an '81 turbo diesel for years. The thing was fast. I know the late ones came with a v6 pushing about 200 hp or so. Replacing the speedo cable however is a giant pain in the ass. (Been there and done that several times.) My dad finally traded ours in after all the electrical system on the passenger side (he replaced it with a 4 banger ford mustang convertible. What a POS.)

I don't know that you want to stick a V8 in the car. It will screw up the balance, and these cars are very well balanced as is. Perhaps look for one of the late V6 motors?

I'd love to build a track car out of one. I've seen a 24hrs of Lemons one race that has proven to be fast when its running well (it was quickly thrown together and not well sorted.) I think a stripped down caged one with the V6 could rip.

              Good luck,
              Will

be careful not to pull the bumper shock out on the E30. Pulled mine out when i towed it w/ my friends' car, and had to source a new shock.

Lol. After pulling the bumper out, my e30 started smoking.

Also, no plans of swapping in a V8!
Gonna stick with the slow pushrod 4cyl K-Jet heap, in all of its 104hp fury..
I was going to swap in a 4-cyl 2.2 Turbo-Intercooled setup from a newer 505 (turbo) but they are notorious for blowing heads..

Maybe one day, when I can afford it, I'll do a fully run-through drivetrain swap.

No. It was a combination of 7yr old dry rotted tires, damp street, and my retarded ass not knowing how to take a corner at speed.

                      Long story short.
I didn't shift before the turn, or rev match and got on it as the road dips mid corner sending me sideways. I tried to counter steer but just ended up over steering in the other direction, did a full 180 and hopped a curb into a speed limit sign.

I wish I was trying to drift it at the time. That way I would have at least expected it and would of had a better chance correcting it. I'm just glad I didn't fuck up the frame or any suspension components.

Damn that crazy, how much is a new panel and bumper gonna cost cause that looks like a pretty hard hit.

The only quote I go was $1700 and I don't remember what they were going to do.
I just "fixed" it myself. Here's the thread. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=236723
