Lol and I thought all Iranians were obsessed with Bimmers and Benzes.

        Photos to come tomorrow!

BTW - there's quite the big Citroen community in the States. However, most of the owners are rich old dudes.

Lol I'm just playin'. After all, the original owner of this car was my dad.

PEH JOE, agha jaan. Really though, I'm trying to go see Iran sometime.

Oh, you're Iranian too, that's pretty cool. If you've never been to Iran I'd definitely recommend at least going once. I haven't been in a while. But it's pretty awesome visiting a place where your ancestors lived.

Hats off to one of our own, Oliver (oliver.r).

There is still A LOT to be reinstalled on the car tomorrow so I'll be getting up bright and early to a large cup of Peet's and getting back to work.
I'm headed back to San Diego next Saturday so I have 6 days to get 'er done, and buy a nice car-cover.
Car can't come with me so the next time I'll be seeing it will be in the rainy season.

I'll leave you all with some quick photos from tonight.

                Cheers!

Today saw a solid amount of work.

The day started with a run for coffee and then it was straight to work.

Took quite a few many "breaks" out of the work, went to Berkeley and got distracted lol.

But then I came back and got quite a bit accomplished. Slowly (maybe quickly), but surely - it's starting to take shape!

Also a few friends came by my house and were surprised to see that: a) I still had a the Peugeot and b) it "didn't look like shit anymore".

A few brews were cracked, but overall today I completed the installation of the following:

                  -front grille

                  -headlight surrounds

                  -front bumper extension

                  -rear center line trim

                  -rear bumper

                  -reinstall on right bumper shock

                  -license plate lights

                  -hood cowl vent

                  -windshield washer nozzle

                  -windshield wipers

                  -rear spoiler

                  -trunk lid emblems

                  -trunk carpeting

All that is left to install on the exterior shall be taken care of tomorrow. That consists of:

                  -front bumper

                  -front aero spoiler

                  -front parking lights

-bosch pilot driving lights (also need to mend wires which torn in a 2009 accident lol)

                  -trunk keyhole and lock

                  -trunk latch

LAST will be the installation of:

                  -sunroof casette

                  -sunroof cassette gasket

                  -sunroof cable

Here are some photos from today's work.

                  Cheers!

yeah, while i was at oliver's shop, he had my rear wing and front spoiler on a paint rack drying next to someone's Calypso iS skirts

                      looked reaaally similar.

yeah my parents were born there.
but my dad hasn't been there since '69 nor has my mom since '73.

                        from what i've heard/seen/watched, Iran is Peugeot-land

Becuase Iran Khodro is licensed to manf. Pug models and continues to make the "old" models to this day with a facelift.

                          Pug 405 (1987-97 in Eu)

Khodro Pug Pars (or Persia, 99- present)

and a sedan version of the 206 that looks absolutely horrid

Fusion - what's sorta cool is that the Iranian Peugeot 405 is RWD!
What's not cool is that it's built on the platform of the 50 year old Hillman Hunter (Peykan) lol.

Iran Khodro also manufactures the Peugeot 407, 508(?), and Mercedes Benz E-Class.

so i just read up on these cars a little- there was a turbo version, apparently?

i think you need to find one of those exhaust manis (just looked them up on car-part - ~$100) and make that shit happen.
