You will get really good at 3-point and even 5-point turns too. Nissan turning circles are beyond terrible. And it is fwd...

G8 would top my list. 4 door G35 just seems like it would be a completely different car from the coupe, but I wouldn't know. My suggestions would be a Lexus IS300 or maaaaaybe even a Dodge Charger, not sure on the mpg though. Legacy is another good option. WRX wagon or Saab 9-2x (same thing) might also be good fun but functional family cars.

Subaru Legacy GT. It's 4 door, AWD, decent gas mileage, and can easily get faster than the 540. Reliable, won't kill you on maintenance but does require a a little more due to the turbo. Resale on them is really high, they haven't really dropped at all in 2+ years on the ones I've looked at. Strong community around them, similar to bmw's.

e30 sedan, you can get a well sorted DD for under 4k and that is less than a G8. You're on a BMW e30 forum...there is NOTHING better to DD.

The 4 door Genesis' are surprisingly pretty nice.

If you can make money with the F250, I'd say get that.

Not only does it pay for itself, but you can then write off mileage or other expenses.

Ahhh crap I love the g8s. Its too bad they stopped making them. That car definitely made it on the "won't buy one new but will buy one used in a few years" list. But really if you want a quick "sport sedan" you are pretty limited if you don't want european.

The 4 door genesis comes with 429 horsepower and rwd. But that rwd desire is going to severely limit you to BMWs and MBs. Good luck though.

I have 3 weeks to find a car that is
    A visually appealing
    B Inexpensive to repair
    C 24+ hwy mileage
D RWD or AWD Biased to RWD
    E 4 doors
F has a strong market for resale. Something that somebody will really want in 5 years.

I wrecked my e30, and I'm selling my e39 540i (high miles) this week and I really need another car that can be as quick if not quicker than the 540. also needs to be safe.
Mrs. and kids are passengers when I'm not commuting or hwy cruising :giggle:

I'm a very fickle person so it's hard for me to find something. If I can't find a decent sedan I'm getting an F250 and working out of it on weekends. Please don't let me get an F-250.

****So far on the list is ****
    1. pontiac G8 GT auto
    2. genisis
    3. legacy GT
    4. MB e350
    5.
    6.

    ......

p.s. I'm no longer really interested in BMW's or MBz. They're nice but too costly.

    Cheers.

*******EDIT, after looking all week I've finally found a decent G8 GT. Here's some pics

    Ricer fogs. Me no likey

Kinda like the black roof but would rather an all factory car.

    Magnaflows

Interior is the very cheap american plastic everywhere. everything is slightly shifty. the shifter feels like I'm driving a powerwheel...

So I signed some papers , put some miles on it and brought it home.

Holden wheel center caps. Nice touch if you ask me. Those calipers look suspiciously like Corvette calipers.

    CF

So my initial thoughts are it feels cheap. The 6sp auto is extremely unresponsive. Manual mode is not really fun like my e39 540. I tried my best not to compare this car to my 540 but when I got out of it and back in my 540 I had a much greater appreciation for everything BMW did to make that car.
The 6.0 has a weak bottom end but mid range torque gets fun. 3rd gear wheel chirps keep you somewhat satisfied and brings your attention away from the horrible blaupunkt stereo. The worst part about it is, you can't go aftermarket with the radio because the AC is integrated with the stereo. This car would be more of a simi-fun daily beater than an enthusiast car. I figured this would be the late great pontiac but nah. With the sticker @ $19,950 I may or may not grab it.

I've got some thinking to do.
