The overpricedness of macs have decreased substantially in the past few years. I remember when I started college (4 years ago) I got a plain jane macbook with no add ons and it was like $1500 bucks or so and that was when the were plastic. I remember thinking how I could have had a similar pc for half as much. Now they come with a retina screen, ssd, metal frame and cost the same if not a little less. Back when I bought mine the macbook pros started at or above 2k. 4 years later my old macbook is no longer supported by apple and I've been thinking about getting another laptop. I've been thinking about getting another macbook but it pisses be off to no end that they are built now where if you want to replace anything you have to crack the computer open and void the warranty. I guess my old macbook with its replacable battery and easily accessed ram and hdd have spoiled me.

Love my Macbook pro. It's a 2011, so just before the Retina Display and all that. I do agree that they are overpriced in some areas. It depends on what you're looking for. I for one absolutely love the OS, programs, built in media devices, the track pad etc etc.Comment

I have a 22" HD tv I'm using as a monitor. So my laptop chills on my desk plugged into my surround sound and the tv though an hdmi cable, the tv sits on my dresser so I don't have to be a foot away from my desk.
I'm not a fanboi, I admitted they're over priced, depending on what you're looking for. I'm not going to insult pc's because in many ways, they're better and cheaper.Comment

I use a seperate wireless keyboard and mouse at my office with my laptop. The laptop sits further back on the desk and I dual screeen to a monitor. Plus who really likes laptop keyboards, I can fly typing on my standard but slow down a fiar amount on the laptop keyboard when not at my desk.2011 JGC daily, 1985 944Comment
