Dining out alone

Im sitting at an IHOP as I type about to eat breakfast by myself. Just wondering if any of you enjoy dining alone like I do. I only have eaten breakfast meals alone haven't gone out to a restaurant for dinner alone yet tho.

I find it peaceful and relaxing. Or am I just a weird loner freak lol?

Dinner is more awkward because pretty much everybody else out is a couple, so you do kind of look like that weird loner freak. Caring about what other people think of you though? Meh, I don't care for it.

I eat lunch alone all the time..... Very nice most of the time, just grab the Nook and read.

If I ever decide to go eat dinner alone I will be wearing a full on suit tie with gold tie clip at a fancy steakhouse and tuck the towel around my collar as a bib lol

I go out to dinner by myself all the time. Generally it's going to sit at a bar which is far less awkward then going to a sit down meal where a server seats you.

Why not? Chances are you'll have a better shot chatting up cute servers and if you sit at the bar (which I would) drinks stay fresh!

when I was doing contract maint. all over Europe years ago, I used to go to the bar down the street from the hotels with a car magazine to read- felt kinda weird at first, but it was actually more enjoyable than getting tanked in a hotel room alone.
