Glad to hear you know about Atlanta. I grew up in the new england area. we had a summer home in Owl's Head. Nova Scotia is gorgeous, we regularly visited NS along with PEI as children. I know a bit about that part of the world. especially canoing, and fishing in the summertime. Also the fishing industry and it's history (growing up in that area, it's taught in elementry and middle school. It's part of the territory. Like rappers and Atlanta). OH and Beavers! I know A veritable shit ton about beavers. Plus the native American and Canadian tribes and their historys.... I miss the north east. especially New England, but Canada, well that part of Canada is beautiful.

I'm a sailing coach, and am racing on a sailboat every weekend. The whole Polos and sperrys thing is not true at all. Those shoes offer NO grip on a wet deck at all, and polos are not comfortable or effective to wear. I do still wear nice clothes obviously, but no body wears that stuff in the "scene"

I like Sebago yacht/boat shoes. The thin soles are great for driving.

As nickpro said though, I wouldn't actually wear them on a boat. They are useless in the wet.
