This is an even more terrible idea. Most people have problems with trying to drive an automatic, let alone shifting gears and mixing up pedals.

You're probably right but I think they take away too much concentration from driving and most crashes are caused by inattention.

If they are mixing up pedals, they shouldn't be on the road. That simple.

There will be no good outcome from relieving a person of any driving duties. There will be idiots that think they can just take a nap while the car drives or people who think they can climb in the backseat to pick something up.

Just a bad idea unless every car and road have been created like in iRobot.
