hello gents. got an issue thats driving me bonkers so i figured id post it up here.

2000 ford escort Zx2
takes it a second to start and when it does it sits there and idles happily. the instant you touch the clutch it dies.. i have the saftey switch removed because i thought that was the issue. with no electronics on the pedal now and same issue. any thoughts?
