Internet for idiots? Need some help

So I love baseball, but hate TV and wont pay $50 for cable. I bought an official subscription to view my favorite team, but to my chagrin, my area is blacked out (F@#%). Do y'all know a way for me to "appear" to be in some other part of the country on my computer? I just wanna watch the damn games that I paid for.

It depends, is it a GeoIP check? Because then you'll need to use a proxy.

If it's just a javascript check, then you can use firefox and greasemonkey to take care of it.

That would be more helpful if i wasnt an idiot. I dont really know how they check it. I guess I'll do trial and error. How do I do the proxy thing? Is it just a site I go through?

I'll look into grease monkey or its linux equivalent. Its gonna be a few hours til the next game.

Edit: I don't know JAVA, how the hell do I use the greasemonkey?
