Your "technical mind" got the technical part of the thread title wrong too. "If you're smart, then you drink a lot" means something completely different than "Your smart if you drink alot"

As much as I think the "evolutionary novel" statement is completely bullshit; now that this has me thinking about it, I can definitely draw a correlation between smart people and drunk people among the people I know.

And when I say smart, I won't define that as being an academically successful or just a logical and level-headed person; only as somebody that you happen to be around and get the impression that they know their stuff. If this is the case, some of the heaviest drinkers I know that are my age are also very intelligent people.

In all honesty though, thread title threw me off. Cause and effect description failure.

This. Also I find that stupid people are happy as shit because they're too stupid to see why they should be miserable as me. Or I'm just a shitty miserable person.
