figured I'd throw it out to r3v...looking for a portable 'dock' for my mp3 player...it's not an ipod so it needs a 3.5mm jack. I am looking for something LOUD for < $100. I've heard the bose and its really loud, but well above my budget. This will be for tailgating, so while I can run it off car battery, I would prefer something that is battery powered.

Home depot has the "shop boom box" that is actually pretty nice. I have one in my shed and it has a 3.5mm port. Runs on battery/plugged in.
