    VW has something going...

    linky

Seen this idea before on an e36 m3, but obviously, that was to waste gas while creating massive amounts of p0war.

    Discuss.

    It's a cool, old idea.
To put it in perspective for BMW drivers, M52B25 power out of a 1.4 that gets nearly 50mpg. Besides having more parts to worry about breaking/wearing out, what's not to like?

      Quoth it: "167hp"

Ain't that more in the range of M20B25 power?

Yes, it will be more susceptible to breakage, but I think the savings on gas (nowadays) could make up for that.

Look up the specs on an E36 323i - one of the cars that got an M52B25

Jarvis is correct, don't jump to quick assumptions.

            you either.
It's a shitted up version of the 190 HP model. Same displacement, different components that are just hampering the performace so the 325 owners dont get pissed when they realize that the 323 is the same car, less money (3.2 L makes 240? Try 260).

I think I prefer BMWs sequential turbo route.

VW also has another thing going, they buy whores for the heads of the labor unions so they can fuck the workers over easier. It was a great idea until they got caught.

And the A/C will perpetually shit itself after 1.5 years just like it did on my bros passat.
