have you actually shot them before? I own a Gen 3 Glock 17, and have shot the 4th Gen Glock 23 multiple times. The glock is a good gun, but I'd take an XDM any day of the week. Trigger pull is much better, feels more balanced, and I liked the stock sights more.

Shoot both before you spend your money. Its all personal preference. I hated glock before I shot one. I was dead set on buying an hk usp. I rented the hk and springfield xd, at the recommendation on the guy at the range, and shot my buddies g22. I couldn't hit shit with the hk, the xd felt like a piece of shit and I shot a really tight group with the glock. It was my least favorite before I actually shot it. They are all good guns to their respective fanboys but it all comes down to what you shoot best. Try as many as you can before throwing money at what someone else tells you is best for you.

            just buy a 1911 :p

He shot about 100 rounds through it no problems and comes with about 75 rounds of ammo for $500. Good deal? Never owed a Glock. Dont know what going rates are for something like this.

              glock new $550+-
night sights $80 to $100 depending manufacture plus install
              Mags $20 glock factory each
              Ammo $35 depending on ammo.

It is a fair price considering its only got "100" rounds for it. He would have no hard time moving it at $500

$450 to $400 it would sell in a heart beat and would be a good friend price.

I got the same setup you have described (gen3) for a shade over 500 brand new with military/law enforcement discount. With only 100 rounds through it, it's practically new so I don't think it's a horrible deal, but it would a no brainer at the 400-450 range. Try and talk him down a little. Use your pawn star skills.
