Having a small problem with FireFox

In the last few weeks, I've started to notice FireFox lagging pretty badly. It happens whenever I go to a new page on the internet, and I go to scroll down the page. Firefox hangs for about 2-3 seconds, then scrolls the page. It also does it during just random scrolling of whatever page I'm on. It also sometimes takes it 2-3 seconds for it to register when I click a button or a link, and it lags often when I start to type, such as a post or a web address. I'll type about half a sentence, and nothing will show up for about 2-3 seconds, then it all appears. Anyone else having an issue like this? What could be causing it? It's getting fairly annoying, and I've never had problems with it before.

What version are you running?

1.5 RC3 is great, I would suggest upgrading to that.

i'm not sure about windows, but whenever troubleshooting firefox problems with linux - I remove all plugins then put them back 1-by-1 until I find what was slowing firefox down.
