    Any pc/laptop people on r3v?

I was just browsing r3v when randomly this happened.

I'm running an external display off the laptop and as you can see the external display is running correctly, and the laptop screen is fubar.

This is not my computer... How can I fix this?

Are those jizz stains on the wall?

Oh and just to shorthand this thread.

    - "get a mac bro"
    - "PC is better"
    - "I super cool so I run unbuntu"
    - "I'm on a C64"

(BTW - that looks like your video card died)

yes, but for real though, I used to have a 20" CRT monitor that weighed 75 or so pounds and was 20" deep sitting there and it kinda ruined the wall behind it.

I was thinking the same thing about a fucked video card, but my second display works fine? No issues playing COD on this thing still

The same thing happened to my GF's laptop. Try moving/tilting the screen. The problem is your display. You need a new display probably.

If his video card died, how is that same card showing a perfect screen on its external monitor port?

          Hm?

More often than not, I've seen this happen when things overheat. Turn it off and let it cool down a bit to see what happens.
Chances are it's going to be screen, or connection related.

Different chip on the board sometimes. Yea, let it cool down - see if that does it.

Ah shit, I forgot. All of my laptops have had dedicated cards with no integrated graphics.

                  lol

I would suspect a GPU problem as a monitor issue would not dupicate those fresh as fuck roof racks. try installing new drivers, and letting it cool down.

Just shut it down for about an hour or so. Still doing it. Drivers are up to date. I fried my motherboard in my desktop pc about a month ago. Two days later I fried a video card in my personal laptop. Now this happens. I'm never buying a computer again

Blame planned obsolescence for your issues. Hope it works out, I don't know shit about computers (lawl i'm a Mac!)

Try changing resolutions and updating drivers. see if it changes at all when you move the hinges. The worst thing that can happen is you have to open it up and put in a replacement display.
