Do UK t-shirt sizes hold true with USA?

I am looking to buy a few shirts off ebay but most are from UK sellers. I am a 40 chest and wear medium shirts. Should I still with medium?

in my experiences of wearing clothes from UK, they are sized small. A UK large is like a US medium.

the last t-shirt I got from the UK was about 3 weeks ago.

Considering fat IS normal in the US, yes the sizing is different. Always order one size up, sometimes even twice with T-shirts so they keep a good fit after washing.

        But you're from Canada.

You're like mini UK. Even your zip codes have the same structure and the queen is on your money and you helped the British light the white house on fire.

Ask the seller for width/height. Most post them somewhere.
I think it depends on brand. The shirts we sell are one size up from FruitOTL.
