Grand Army of the Republic into Potter County Ehhh. GO check out Cherry springs SP. Its great for night time astro photography. Some of the darkest skies in the east coast area, and really easy to get to off of 6.
Good luck on decent cheap lodging the drillers and us pipeline hands have most of the hotels booked up pretty good. Expect to pay about 100 a night for a decent placeOriginally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

150 miles from home. Pics uploaded tomorrow. Put around 1000 miles when all is said and done. The eta has performed superbly. Stayed over last night right on the pine creek at the ox yolk inn. Not bad for 60 bucks. Now to fight Philly rush hour for the last leg.sigpicComment

Generally, one makes threads like this AFTER pictures have been uploaded.

finally got the pics up. the wife took a lot and she's no good at it but here goes anyway.
headed into and passing through the lehigh tunnel on the pa ne extension of the turnpike.
headed west on 80.
the buckhorn truck stop where dad used to stop with us kids on the way hunting back in the 60's. the place has changed.
next stop a roadside table along the susquhana river.
drove west on 80 to 120 then headed nw up into cameron co. stopped off at kettle creek park wich is about 8 miles back a one lane road into the woods.
MG]
continued up 120 into the town of sterling run. this is where the hunting camp is where we went when we where young. 5800 acres of forrest boarderd by nothing but the wildest land pa has to offer. my grand father started this club with a half a dozen friends back in the early 20's. they picked up a 99 year lease from the state. i haven't been up there in 40 or more years. other than the place getting some more modern sideing it remains the same. had to keep our eyes peeled for rattlers but never came accross any. going back here brought back memories of my first dear, turkey, and bear. all when i was just a young teenager from 1965 to aroung 73. the portable rod and gun club.
f...ing photo bucket screwing with me. will follow with more later.
sinimahoning creek, drought has water levels all over down to almost nothing. used to pull record brownies from here back in the day.
took may hollow rd from the club to emporium about 15 miles of dirt road through nowhere.
headed up to rt 6 and came into potter co from the west.
the wife grabbed the wrong camera charger so now on to the really shitty cell pics.
stayed over night at the ox yolk in on the pine creek. only place we could find with a bar/rest with rooms on the same property. didn't want to drive after some well deserved cocktails.
started working our way back tues morning and stopped off at the pine creek gourge (pa grand canyon)
all in all we put around 1000 or maybe a few more miles on the eta. she purred like a kitten the whole way. the odo quit 3 years ago at 246,000. i do 26,000 a year just going to and from work. with my recreational driving i'm guessing i have right around 350,000 on the clock. this car shows no signs of giving up. no oil leaks, only uses about a half a qt. every 3000. i must say, i am impressed.sigpicComment

if you took away all the years of chemical classes i could even pass for 55.
and oh yea, this trip not possible w/o my shade tree mechanic certification, my bently, some guten service, and of course, blunttech parts to keep my beloved es on the road and running strong.sigpicComment

i would also just like to say that everywhere we went people turned their head and paid compliments on the e30. they couldn't comprehend the car has as many miles on it as it does.sigpicComment
