Mines has a musty horsehide smell. I've noticed all german cars post '92 have that same melted crayon smell....

With vinyl sport seats and no carpet I've lost that smell...

My last E30 had cardinal leather and all of it's interior, I used Meguiar's leather cleaner/conditioner on the seats/door panels and it was a glorious smell after my car had sat for a few days

Its been a while since I have sat in mine, but it sure beats the Jeep smell, which is usually cigarettes and boiling hot coolant.

Mine smells like coolant when the heaters on. Leather, old man sometimes, and engine.

it's the smell of the tar/wax they use as sound deadening.

Good call, now that I think about it you can def smell the wax as well.

My E30 has a smell, it becomes extra present on cooler days, the heat kinda kills out everything. I don't know how to classify it, maybe a little musky, I dig it though.

My 280Z has a wicked smell, like I just stepped back into the 70's, without classification as well.
