Not true. I mine w/ bitminter, which does BTC/NMC simultaneously. There's also this place, which I'm trying out with one card:

I was running bitminter for two *days and was very easy to use, but I had no idea wtf nmc was...so I'm assuming BTC>LTC>NMC?

Hmm...looks like I'll be giving the LTC a shot since my card seems to get pretty good hashing for it. I'll mine a lot more from that while its still relatively small.

hash rate on it is much higher than when i discovered it months ago; but i'm not sure yet if i'm going to switch over from bitminter, because as you mention their java applet is retard-simple, and i'm thinking that accessibility is going to pay off with increased share of the total BTC hash rate as more people get involved.

All coins that are based on SHA-256 will be useless to mine in a month with ASIC.
Litecoin is the only coin worth your time if your GPU mining.

yeah, i'm not so sure that all of the late hashrate increase is due to Avalon shipping.

Alot of it is due to new miners, but Avalon has their 600gh unit up and running.
You can buy shares of that miner if you wish to.

All of those other alt coins are just being manipulated on the market right now for pumps and dumps.

What numbers are you running and how much ltc do you mine a day?

I currently have two boxes each running about 1500 k/h on give-me-ltc.

I am getting around 14 LTC A Day.

Holy crap I could get close to 2LTC a day, which will still profit more than BTC. Gonna definitely check this out tonight. BTC now @ $190!!

Just broke $200 sitting now at $207 on MtGox, up to $300-$350 on eBay.

Also the gox engine still has too much lag in it.
