Idiots in high school parking lots...fml

I drove a beat up 318 to hs on sick alpina looking 17" rims.

We were a pretty 'rural' school with only 800 kids total in 9-12 grade.... the 'rich kid' had the mustang. some 240s and civics out there but most folks were pretty broke so nothing fancy or fast by any means.... I think one dude had a big truck, a buddy of mine had a chevette....the kid with the diesel rabbit... and a good friend had a ragged out 88 or 89 dark PURPLE z24 cavalier that we would play bumper cars with. Literally if you were waiting in the light to turn and your buddy was next up behind you it was guaranteed you would get a nice love bump. lots of cheap jeeps too.

Favorite memory was me and the gf getting a whole new fancy leather interior to replace the ragged out cloth one for just $50 at the junkyard. Her senior year her pops bought her a new eclipse which she secretly hated because it was automatic and slower than my 318.

I think the average value of all the cars in our hs parking lot was $1500 bucks so nobody was too picky. One chick had her moms old van pimped out with leopard print curtains and a mattress in the back. That was a awkward summer.

That was 10 years ago..... damn that shit was tight.

If I could go back I would have gotten laid a lot more~ and still be dating that same girl... take that as advice. I didn't get my megasquirt and turbo until my 2nd year of college about the time I started dating princess whore-pants. My car was as black as my heart at that point.

I used to take my sweet time after getting out of HS. By the time i walked out to my car in the parking lot, most of the dumbass drivers who think theyre going to drive super fast in traffic are gone. This allowed me to quickly and easily drive out without having to worry about dumb drivers. Just me, and the e30 :)

Nobody messed with peoples cars when I went to school. Times have changed, I guess.

Other than bitch cheerleaders putting shoe polish on your windows.

We would also do the "love tap" thing with our friends. Our cars werent really shitty or anything, we were just douchebag kids (like all kids).

Today was a good day. Had no problems. Got there a bit later than yesterday and my friend followed me into the lot and parked next to me at the end of the lot so I had peace of mind lol.
I hurried the hell out of there after class ended and there was only a couple people leaving. I left and there was nobody around except maybe 4-5 people getting into their cars.

OH! and today there were patrol officers driving their police looking cars around the lot in the morning. Honestly took a bit of weight off my shoulders :3
Also, while leaving they had staff standing ready to give detentions or whatever for those who were going to do stupid shit.

People not just high school people will "tune in" and take notice if you are obsessive about your e30 or any car for that matter. They will see you looking all over the car for damage and doing that overly obsessive checking out of your car. You think they dont see this behaivior, but trust me they do.

This will bring about jealously or just plain desire to fuck your shit up. For no other reason than to just bring discontent to your life. They figure that their life is not going so well and you are some anal retentive kid who thinks they drive the sweetest ride on the planet. Thats when the wheels start turning and the gears in their head start clicking.

It plants a "seed".

Change your behavior or we will be reading a post shortly about how some douchebag keyed your car or door dinged you or broke a taillight , etc...

Get that Saturn running ASAP if you truly want to protect the car that you care about.

Yeah i guess the first day was just messed up because it was first time i drove my e30 to school. I don't obsessively look for door dings and scratches, just as i'm walking to the car glance on one side put backpack in trunk and go to drivers side while opening door just check it out.
I'm starting to not even worry even if something were to happen.. I don't go around saying my cars the best, and i'm really quiet in school. Even if something happened (God forbid..) it gives me an opportunity to improve my painting skills!
& Screw taillights i have like 3 pairs lol

Back when i was in high school part of our senior prank was to egg the Juniors' cars. I never took part in it because it was really fucked up. Plus my high school was full of assholes who would key other kids' cars as well. My friend's e46 got egged twice, got keyed, and someone stole his BBS caps. Hence why i never drove to school.

Yeh man, its not just high school, there will always be irresponsible people driving around or looking to ruin your day for no other reason than they are bored.

When I was in HS, I drove an 87 civic hatch and had a huge box that would take the entire cargo space in the back, and it was so loud it would rattle my rear view mirror off and set off other car alarms, tee hee! I was not the popular kid but I got along with everyone so no one ever fucked with my pos.

By my senior year I bought a Geo Storm that I would beat the shit out of, lol. Nobody fucked with that thing either.

That was almost 10 years ago, right when the first Fast and Furious came out.

Graduated last year, drove a clean 98 4runner with a magnaflow exhaust that could be heard from a half mile away and big off roading tires. I sounded and looked like a tool but i was the opposite :p. Because of the tires it sat pretty high up. in the second week of school I was rear ended twice within 10 minutes of each other waiting to get out, by 2 different people. Dented both of their front bumpers pretty bad whereas the 4runner was unscathed :D

Bottom line, high school kids are shitty drivers, always be on the defensive. And parking all the way in the back doesn't hurt.

haha :) yeah i'm not popular or whatever, just friendly and get along with everyone. I really doubt somebody is going to touch my car. I used to hang with people in elementary school and junior high that are now gang bangers, out of school or hang with the wrong crowd. So I guess i can say i am safe from them.. Aside from that if something happens, it happens. Life goes on. maybe the insurance money will all add up so i can swap a 2jz into my e30 by the time i graduate ;) jk rather not.

The best way you can drive in HS is just to not let anything make you give a fuck. It's going to be like that every single god damn day. I parked my car on the street that was on the opposite side of the campus' lot. It was a way longer walk but all the cool kids did it ;)
