I've gotten into the habit of 'German' showers, water is very pricey. It consists of a rinse/wet yourself down, then wash up with intermittent wetdowns in necessary, then a thorough rinse.

On the upside, I modded my showerhead so I get FULL pressure, so a short shower is still rather refreshing. I use NIVEA Muscle Relax bodywash, it reminds of the smell right after a haircut, so it's all that much more refreshing.

Do germans use wash cloths? I had to go to Germany a few months back and was instructed that I should bring wash cloths because the hotels in Germany does not have them. The one I was at in Deggendorf did not so I'm glad someone told me. I just don't feel clean unless I use a wash cloth. Another think I noticed is that you guy's have toilet brushes by every toilet in that country. Lol. Not a bad thing, I don't guess..

You have to bring your own, everyone does when they travel over there. It's considered cleaner.

Also, yes, you are supposed to scrub the toilet if you leave streaks. Common courtesy.

damn, you've gone full German!!! I still wash my car in the driveway, even though everyone yells at me. Water isn't that expensive, its just an excuse all the stank ass non washing Germans use.

Shit, I thought all white people didn't use washcloths.

I prefer a few short showers a day 5-8 min., esp. when its really hot out.

+1, usually between 20-25 but 15-30 are the extremes.

Everyone says I shower too long, but it feels so good and I like to be thorough

My moms used to say I shower like my grandpa, apparently he would be in and out in 5 min flat. Just Monday night I was at this honeys house and I took a shower at her place and she also said I shower too fast.

I cant take cold showers, so I shower with warm water even on hot days, there is just something relaxing about it. I go in, shampoo the hair, scrub the body with the axe scrubber and bodywash and rinse, then condition the hair like a motherfucking boss and rinse once again. I dont take time to dilly dally, maybe I'm just weird.

I use a Loofa-type sponge, it's lighter and cheaper than a washcloth. At .99, I can toss it when it gets ripe.

And yes. There is a brush by EVERY toilet here. The toilets are different, they have something akin to a 'landing platform' for #2 and a smaller hole for it to travel down once you flush. And leaving streak's is bad form. One must scrub their own skidmarks.

I will still stay in the shower for longer if it behooves me to do so. If I had a hose I would wash my car at home.

And yes, there are some stank-ass mofo's walking around over here.

exactly 4 minutes and 31 seconds....
unless the soap goes from being 'lifeboy' to 'loverboy'
then add exactly 23 seconds, which includes cleanup.

a bit off topic, but while 'dropping some friends off at the pool', i can sit on the bowl reading motorcycle and car magazines until my legs go numb.

5-7 minutes is plenty long enough to get me nice and clean. If it's cold out, I might hang in there for another minute or two.

I do exactly this! The Axe scrubber makes it super simple to get the entire body soaped up. Kinda like going from a simple wash mit for the car wash to a "foam cannon" to get the soap on the car.

My personal best shower time was 3 minutes and 30 seconds and I accomplished all that is listed above. Usually I complete the shower in about 5-6 minutes and then dry off and moisturize.

Its water pouring out of a metal pipe not someplace to meditate.
