I keep thinking if I should get another touring next.

I think I'll just go for an e30m3.

A touring would be more of a street car, I think US s50/s52 is the most streetable motor.

might as well buy an e36m3 that's already got one, and brakes, and way more comfy

    s54 or s62 e30m3 por favor

I like the extra boxy lines of the touring. I can't deny that the rarity factor played a part in me wanting the car, along with pure happenstance in finding it when I needed a car. I like it, although The RHD is a pita.
For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!

Had an e46 wagon, loved everything about it....except it was an automatic m54b25

There's not a lot of them here, but there is one at work right now that will be awesome when finished. Dunno if the owner is on here yet or not.

heh, thanks. btw my US s52 gets the same mpg city and mixed as my euro s50. 17mpg. though us s52 gets 27 highway with the diff from an auto, whereas the euro s50 was ~23mpg hwy. For a streetcar, US s5x is the way to go.

I keep seeing e30's are getting more and more rare. I feel like e30m3's will hold their value a lot more than e30 tourings even after they're legal in the states

What type of e30 is your s52 in?
I'm looking at probably buying a swapped e30m3 my senior year of college or upon graduation.
I've compared a bunch of prices lately, and noticed that swapped cars tend to be going for less(?).
It'll be a grad present to myself, and I don't mind the fact that it'll be swapped, as S14 maintenance is a pita from what i've heard, and I won't be rolling in dough..

Also, shameless plug: you should follow me d0e. :D

Why an influx now? Did they just temporarily change the importation laws?

                  SC*AR (Schwarz Army)
No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.
