E30 especially since the question is only one car for the rest of your life. The E30 can be easily made into just about anything you want. Comfortably daily driver, track car, whatever. Can be extremely fast with engine swaps and handle very well and get good gas mileage. whatever. Can look anything from classic, classy, and low key to fuh race because racecar and everything in between. And cheap and easy to work on and modify.

I'm too practical. I would need to DD it, take it on trips, have fun in it, have friends in it, be safe in it, etc. Therefore F10 M5.

Now if I could just straight up have any car it would be a 993 GT2.

Kind of a difficult question, since only 1 car would have to serve as everything for you. I love the 288 GTO, but it certainly isn't an everyday driver. But damn is it sexy and fast....

If I didnt have to pay for fuel, probably a supercharged H2 hummer, fast enough, and can do anything, or maybe an SRT10.......

One car forever? I would not pick any of the crazy stuff due to cost of ownership and reliability....maybe a C6 Z06. I can afford to mod and maintain that.
