cannondale f9 vs scott reflex 45

Hey guys, I dont want to have to start another profile with another forum and all that bull. I want to buy a cheap mountain bike and i found these on craigslist. The first one is a 2010 cannondale f9, looks like its in great condition and the guy is asking 360 bucks. The second is a scott reflex 45, i think it was made in 07 and hes asking 275. I like the scott because it has disc breaks but i like the cannondale because it seems so new. Can any of you guys in to this stuff can help please.

If you ride trails at all you will want disk brakes. Period.

how about adding disc breaks to the cannondal? its already a houndred bucks more but it does look like it has provisions for adding dis breaks. Would you get the cannondal and disc breaks or get the scott?

Honest truth, get what is more convenient for you. Those are mechanical disc brakes anyways so the only real advantage over the "vee" style on the cannondale will be in the mud. At this level of bike, everything is entry level and nothing is going to shine over another manufacturers components

Buy either bike and ride it as is. It's not worth upgrading parts.
