Your Thoughts on a trade Up?

    Hello,

    I like the Lotus, personally.

I really do not like Maseratis, personally.

Maserati hands down in my opinion. Having driven both of these cars, albeit the maserati I drove was a couple years older, I would prefer it over the Lotus in a non track decision. Plus pure sex. Pure unadulterated sex. Gobs of it. That is all.

The exhaust note of that GranTurismo is worth every frickin penny! I wasnt much for the tranny though. I vote Maserati all day long.

E30 owners. We're different than most sensible people.

I'd keep the Lotus and go all out on it like (the late) Ronin Exige style on it. Twin charged, and have fun.

            Because I too dislike Maseratis

I absolutely LOVE the GranTurismo, could be the prettiest car made today. It will, however, be a hugely different car than you Lotus. The Maser is a big, comfy, GT car and if you expect it to drive anything like your Elise you will be sorely disappointed. But if you want a big, comfy, beautiful car then I would go for it. It all depends on your wants, really.

I too would recommend against the Maserati. What about the V8 Vantage? Those sound great, look great and you can get them in a 6 speed manual.

                    Maserati is Italian for not-a-Ferrari.

I've always seen Maserati as a second class car that does odd things to gain attention over Ferrari and Lamborghini.

My uncle had considered trading in his 93 Dodge Viper for the GranTurismo a few years back, but when it came down to it he just couldn't do it. I know the Viper and Elise are totally different cars but I think they're the same in that sorta stripped kinda, more on the race/sports car feel. He said the Gran Turismo was an awesome car but too GT for him considering what he was used to. But if your looking for something more on that side with an incredible soundtrack then the Gran Turismo is your best bet. I'd personally take one over a MB SL or 6 series.

Not sure if it's taken the majority of the massive depreciation that it will have but if you plan on keeping it for a long time it prolly won't matter as much

Just keep in mind you will be paying f car maintenance prices But without the awesomeness of getting into an f car

I considered them for a while but ended up running far away, ended up getting a Porsche 996 turbo instead

Lotus is awesome, no other car remotely like it, you will prolly miss it
