    Favorite Tool

Tools are some of the best things in the world. As I was growing up I was lucky enough to have a father and grandfather who are/were very skilled with handiwork, carpentry, craftsman-ing, and general fixitallisciousness. There was, pretty much, every tool I would ever need for any project in the basement at my house.

Since then, my parents have retired and moved to Florida (so cliche) and I constantly find myself in need of a place and the tools to maintain/improve my e30.

before I digress and go into how much it sucks to not have all of these tools at my disposal anymore, my question is this:

What is your favorite tool? or maybe what tool do you wish you had?

Personally, my favorite tool is a wire wheel. To me, there is no better thing that taking out a rusty bolt/nut/bracket and wire wheeling the fuck out of it and make that shit shine like new. clearcoat it, paint it, whatever...There is always room for improvement when there's a wire wheel close by

I wish i knew how to weld. I'm sure it's not really that hard but I've never gotten a chance to try it. If i knew how to weld, a welder would be my #2

I searched and found something like 1200 threads containing the word "tool" and significantly fewer that included the phrase "favorite tool," none of which were very recent or about favorite tools. I'm afraid that's as much as can be asked of me on a drunken wednesday night

I would have to say the impact gun is my favorite. Or the welder, really a toss up.
