Increasing amounts of spam bots

i woke up at about 5:30 and started killing them, crashed back out and there was a bunch more!

they were posting as fast as i could delete them!

edit: i just killed 12 of them!

There is a math question when you sign up. And i see the spammers are just like most members, they can't get out of the General Discussion!! :p

Zing! lol the weird spam bots are the ones that have some type of intelligent response corresponding to the topics but has crazy weird links in the links and located in Zimbabwe.

Why not just put one of those questions when you sign up? A simple math questions, or whos the manufacture of an e30 etc? All those things when you register seem to work on other sites.

Any way someone could write a macro where a mod can "quick ban" where with one push of a button, the user is IP banned and all threads and posts by him are deleted?

Also, what about firing viruses back at the offending IPs?
